A KFC in Broadstairs has suddenly closed. The fast food outlet in Westwood Cross has covered its doors with posters announcing the closure and directing customers to the nearest outlet.
A KFC in Westwood Cross, Broadstairs, suddenly closed, and a KFC spokesperson said: ‘We are sorry to hear that the KFC in Westwood Retail Park has closed.
We will inform Broadstairs residents as soon as we have information about any restaurant developments in the area.

KFC branch unexpectedly shuts

The news surprised many. Thanet residents discussed the information on Facebook after a picture of the closed shop was posted on Friday.
Several shops have recently closed in Westwood Cross. KFC’s Freehold in Westwood Cross, Ramsgate and Margate was due to be sold last week but was sold at the last minute.
This is the fourth central closure in Westwood Cross this month. Clarks and Iconic Jewellery have announced closure sales, and these shops are expected to close in mid-November.
After the last day, Clarks’ nearest shop will be in Deal High Street or Whitefriars in Canterbury. For lovers of iconic jewellery, County Square in Ashford will be the only remaining physical shop in the county after the Canterbury shop closes within a month.
Wilko closed its Westwood Cross shop on 12 September. Opened in the summer of 2005, Westwood Cross was a £100 million project to revitalise the area, which had been left derelict after the former hospital closed in 1986.
